This is how lunch went down. I saw an email from Brendan – something about ‘Barangaroo’ – and figured the alternative (hills near the Gallery) was not a good idea on mud

Started with a 2k warm-up around Hickson Road, then a quick few nervous breaths near Barangaroo Gates. Summoned the courage and got right into some 1k reps.

Started a little slow at 3:25s which is largely my HM pace. A 30s standing rest allowed me to slowly wind up to 10k-ish pace was is OK given my poor state of fitness.

Like always I find it tough doing a set solo but in my mind I was just doing 5 out-and-back reps.

Splits: 3:24, 3:22, 3:25, 3:25, 3:11, 3:13, 3:20, 3:14, 3:18, 3:15

It was nice seeing a few other floating around Barangaroo including Lambert (tapering), Steve P, Yum Cha and even Craig.

14k all up. Legs are holding up better than expected though I have point pains in my foot again.
