C2S two days away. The biggest social run in the CY and indeed it will be interesting to watch the top guys run sub 46. Meanwhile, my plan is simply start slow and hope I can refind a little form in the late stage (legs allowing).
Today, the morning was ridiculously cold. So much so I did 20 min strength / core work purely to warm-up. This one involved pushups, mountain climbers, dips, a few KB pull-ups and floor-work routine. After I was done, I jumped on the saddle and rode to work – the long way around Redfern and Surry Hills.
Lunch – easy 8km with Champ, Pete and Smolly starting at Art Gallery and then around Farm Cove. After a loop of Opera House, the group doubled back. I broke off at the FC steps at 8km, completed 10x120m efforts at 80%. First time I’ve put pace into the legs in recent member and they still did not feel right. 3km c/d was thoroughly enjoyable as I was joined by the Frenchman, who seems destined for an excellent race on Sunday. 12km all up.
