Pyrmont Recovery

14k recovery run with Erika and Elle. The key with such runs is to make them just that … all about recovery.

That’s why I prefer not to run Monday’s with HuRTS. By the time you hit 5k (wharves) things get really unpleasant at sub 4:40s. My legs can’t recover from that in the middle of a training cycle.

Anyway, enjoyed the following course: Hickson, Barangaroo, Darling Harbour, Pyrmont, Jackson and return via Pyrmont Bridge. The sort of run where you feel better after 10k. Felt so good in fact that I knocked out 20k for the day – ran home with Christian, very slowly. By then my left ankle was really complaining!
